Yesterday, I met up with Kelly and Evan in Downtown Denver. I had an awesome time getting to know this great couple! Evan convinced me that he lifts cars and that Kelly is a dancer. New Web Site!

So, as many of you know, I am my own website designer. Which, of course, means that it is a constant work in progress! It also means that it gets updated a lot. This Monday I had a breakthrough and was able to figure out how to embed my slideshows into my web pages. This basically means that I officially have a flash website! I am SO excited about this because I have been trying to figure this out for way too long (about two years). I hope all of you like what you see!

As a photographer, I have a true appreciation for the arts, especially when it comes to music. Music and photography seems to blend together as though they were meant to be paired. So, I have decided to venture into the world of independent music. Wow. I am so impressed with what is out there. There are some REALLY talented artists that deserve to be heard!
I have since decided to try something new. All of my slideshows feature new independent artists. It feels so good to support people who feel passionate about their art in the same way I do. I will post all of the artists links I have gotten permission from in my links section on the right. Please check them out, or even order an album if you like what you hear! One of the biggest reasons I am in this business is because I LOVE working with people like Kurt and Bevin. Kurt is just the most open, kind, and caring guy and Bevin is so reserved, sweet, and intuitive. I couldn't have asked for a more dynamic couple. Their wedding felt thick with the love surrounding them. I live for days like this! Here are a few shots I got of them. It was really challenging to photograph nudity, but make it tasteful at the same time. In the end, we were both really pleased. Another amazing trip to Aspen!

Wow. What an amazing wedding! I feel like this last weekend was a dream. I had a once in a life time experience to ride horse-drawn sleighs up to the Pine Creek Cookhouse in Aspen's national forest to photograph Misti and Lucas' wedding. We had snow flurries all weekend, so it was a beautiful winter wonderland the whole day. They were married in the middle of a valley tucked away where no cars have access. It was truly unbelievable.
We got to end the day with a fireworks show in downtown Aspen. You could actually feel the explosions hit the mountains beside us. To Lucas, Misti, and their family... This Sunday, I was all the way down in Monument, Colorado. If you haven't already visited, do it. It is absolutely beautiful! I met up with Jenny and Jesse at Jesse's father's house right in the mountains overlooking a huge valley. It was awesome. They are such cool people. Wow, what an awesome couple. I am so thrilled that I am getting the opportunity to photograph Marna and Al's wedding in May! I met them down at Union Station last weekend and we had a blast exploring lots of different "urban" shots. They were so open to all of my ideas. A little miracle...

Last week I photographed this little angel, Alexa. She is the brand new addition to Sam and Mitch (one of my bride and grooms that I photographed in July). She was due this month, but arrived August 29th weighing only 2 pounds. When I got to photograph her, she was much more the size of a newborn than a two and a half month old. It was truly special to see the love that everyone feels for this little miracle. I feel honored to have been able to photograph her.

Sara and her boyfriend's doggy Bailey met me at Lee Martinez Park in Fort Collins last week. She had me photograph the two of them for her boyfriend's Christmas present. What a great idea!
Bailey is ten, but if I had to guess I would have said he was six months old. He has the energy of a puppy! Sara has the most easy-going natural smile, too. I had so much fun at this shoot. Thanks for thinking of me Sara!

I had a great day this last Saturday. I had the oportunity to photograph Kim, Ben, and their daughter Logan at the top of Horsetooth mountain in Fort Collins. Here are some of the shots I got at Stacy and Nick's wedding this Saturday. It was such a beautiful ceremony! There were two trees that seemed to frame the setting and the sky was perfectly diffused. Everyone was a little on the chilly side from the wind and the cold front coming in, but it made for some great moments. I felt so welcomed by Stacy and Nick. Stacy even had me join her for a toast in her hotel room and Nick was constantly thanking me. It really meant a lot to me to have such great people accept me as more than just their photographer. I felt so honored to be a part of their special day. Thank you so much guys. It was an absolute pleasure!

So, I had a really special opportunity this week to shoot Stacy and Nick's engagement photos. What made it so special was that it included Stacy's dog, Guiness. He is a sweet old guy that is fighting off cancer. I feel so lucky to have been there for Stacy and her family, so I could capture some of his final moments. What was also special about the shoot, was that is was just two days before Stacy and Nick's wedding. I went down to Broomfield last Saturday to shoot Julia and Michael's wedding at the most gorgeous church (Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church). The lighting and architecture was absolutely stunning. It was such a beautiful ceremony and Mike was the comic relief throughout most of it. Julia and Mike have been together for 11 years now, so it was a great celebration for all who came. Kirk and I had a blast shooting that day. Congratulations you two!

I had so much fun this Tuesday! I got to meet Molly and Mike at the Indian Tree Golf Course in Arvada for their engagement session. We got their just in time to beat the rain and catch a gorgeous sunset. Molly's goofy uncle drove me around to all the different spots they had planned out for us. He was hilarious! I even got a shot of him hiding behind some tall grass.
Molly and Mike were so much fun because they were game for everything. I love when a couple is as enthusiastic about their photos as I am. It really makes for a fun experience. You two rock! I can't wait until their wedding because we will be coming back to the golf course for their reception and I know it will be beautiful. See you soon!

Last year I photographed some of the last moments of Jenny's amazing dog, Ilo. He and Jenny had a connection that I have never seen between a dog and human. She now wears some of his ashes in a locket around her neck. When I was photographing Jenny and Ellie, Ellie decided to grab this locket. It was truly special. This is a photograph of that moment...

I volunteered my services this Saturday for a great cause! Hope Lives is a Northern Colorado organization that helps fund post-op cancer patients directly. They had a benefit concert to help raise funds in Greeley. The bummer was that the turn out wasn't what we had hoped, but the people that came were awesome and the music was extremely moving. I was lucky enough to find out about the event because my sister Emily Fehler was the first performer. I met up with Tara, Pete, and Pete's son Dirk at Red Rocks this Sunday for an engagement session. It was a perfect day! Dirk was a total goofball, which he said would be what I should expect at the wedding. I can't wait! I was so glad they were willing to take some risky steps on the trail for their photos. I had so much fun on Saturday photographing Bekah and Josh's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony in their friend's back yard in Brighton. The weather was a little iffy for a while, but the clouds opened up as soon as the ceremony began. It was truly magical. They even hopped on a plane on their way to their honeymoon at 9:30 that same night! How cool.
Bekah and Josh are so comfortable in front of the camera. I guess they were pretty used to it after their engagement session a few months ago. I love that they were as excited about their photos as I always am. I hope you love them! Congratulations guys. See you when you get back from your honeymoon!

I am so excited about these new photos! Yesterday I got to work along side with Jenna Walker and her husband Matt in Mead, Colorado. You could not have asked for a better day. It seemed like we shot through every weather pattern possible. That's Colorado for you! Ryan and Leslie were so amazing to work with. It was like shooting professional models all day. I feel so lucky that I got to be there.

Anne and JB were blessed with a precious little bundle on Sunday, July 16th. They waited to find out the sex, and were surprised to discover they had a girl! They named her Samantha. I am so excited about these new photos... I had my first session with a real model! We had a blast walking around Old Town. We were even lucky enough to find a doorway in an alley that had a wind tunnel effect to blow her hair around. It was awesome! I finally got to meet Jessica and her fiance Terrell last weekend. They are such great people. Terrell added a really fun flair to the day with his unique ideas (picking flowers, etc.)! They have beautiful chemistry. I can't wait for their wedding day!

Kate's Bat Mitzvah!

I had the pleasure of photographing Kate's Bat Mitzvah (her own version) on the 13th. It was a beautiful ceremony! I loved that she made her coming-of-age ceremony her own personal laid-back style. It was truly touching how connected she was with everyone that attended. I got to take some really unique photos because everyone there was so fun! Thank you for including me in such an amazing day!

I met my neighbor Kim at the park the other day to get some pics of her new puppy, Jack... I couln't resist taking a couple of Kintla and Logan too!

I had a great time photographing at Sandie and Travis' wedding the other day. Their best man's two kids were an absolute riot (and fun to photograph)! It was so nice to be surrounded by so much love! Congrats you two!
