Estes Park!

Kirk and I took a much needed vacation to Estes Park this weekend. We got there right as a cold front was coming in and it started to snow! The cool part about Estes is that before a storm comes, elk come out to greet the public. It seemed like they were everywhere. It was so awesome. Here are some shots from our trip...

Little Ellie...

My friends Wade and Jenny were blessed with the sweetest little girl 5 days ago. I am so lucky that I got to capture a few of these special moments of her...

I love this one because it's such a great mommy moment.

Wind...

This last Saturday we had wind like I have never experienced throughout most of Colorado. I was up at Flaggstaff mountain in Boulder photographing Anne and Rick's wedding. I decided to put photos where the wind was a factor on my blog post this time because they are some of my favorites...

Little Ellie continued...

Last year I photographed some of the last moments of Jenny's amazing dog, Ilo. He and Jenny had a connection that I have never seen between a dog and human. She now wears some of his ashes in a locket around her neck. When I was photographing Jenny and Ellie, Ellie decided to grab this locket. It was truly special. This is a photograph of that moment...
This is one of my favorite shots of Jenny with Ilo...
I love this one because I took a very similar photo of my daughter Maya at about the same age...
This one is my daughter Maya.

Journey Magazine!

I'm so psyched! I recently got chozen to be in a press release for Journey magazine, a women's magazine in Northern Colorado. I will be in the November/December issue which comes out November 15th. Look for me!

Hope Lives continued...

Hope Lives Event!

I volunteered my services this Saturday for a great cause! Hope Lives is a Northern Colorado organization that helps fund post-op cancer patients directly. They had a benefit concert to help raise funds in Greeley. The bummer was that the turn out wasn't what we had hoped, but the people that came were awesome and the music was extremely moving. I was lucky enough to find out about the event because my sister Emily Fehler was the first performer. You may recognize her name from my wedding slideshow because her song is what I have playing in the background... http://www.arosephotography.com/Wedding_Photography/

Tara and Pete's engagement session!

I love Dirk's expression in this one...

I met up with Tara, Pete, and Pete's son Dirk at Red Rocks this Sunday for an engagement session. It was a perfect day! Dirk was a total goofball, which he said would be what I should expect at the wedding. I can't wait! I was so glad they were willing to take some risky steps on the trail for their photos. We all were wishing we had different shoes, but it was totally worth it! The scenery up there is incredible. Thanks guys! I had a great time.
